This is an 8x8 card using Poppy stencil with texture paste and glitter.
For the background I just brushed ink through sequin waste.
Also I used word chains.
Have a great Monday!

Happy Saturday to you!
I will be at the hub later this morning for class, we will be making a wall hanging using chalk paints and Claritystamps, I won't show you the finished piece incase it spoils the surprise for a couple of people that haven't seen it yet.
But I can show you another of my tv samples for April...
This is using the Fly Away and the Love is in the Air sets, I also used a piece of Gelli background.
I was trying to stamp the boy to appear like he was trying to reach the balloons, but shaky hand had other ideas and actually I like him better hanging off instead.
I'm going to go downstairs and make a cup of tea, hopefully without waking everybody up.
Have a good day whatever you have planned.
Good Morning, well it's 3.05am anyway.
Yet again I have to apologise for absence....
It's just tricky at the moment, it's been such a busy time but also I'm having to seriously restrict my time looking at a screen because of increasing visual disturbance.
Anyway I won't bang on about it any further, I'll just show you a card.
This is one of my tv samples from the weekend, I used Poppy Pods stencil and one of the new word chains.
Lots of cutting on this one, I like the result though.
Hope you like it.
Happy Sunday...and another scheduled post while at the NEC.
This is a quickie with a little boy in mind, I used an embossing folder from Crafters Companion and one of the word chains from Claritystamp.
No idea why my name is on this in two different places, another fail by my technical officer (moi), I really should take lessons.
Oh I should mention, I made this using a 6x6 folder and A5 card, I'm sure you can see what I did but shout out if you're not sure.
Have a great day whatever your doing!
Good Morning!
I'm scheduling a handful of posts for while I'm at the NEC, because I'm never sure if there will be Internet or if I will have energy/time to blog when we are on the road.
This one is an 8x8 using up a bit of waste (the leftovers from a big Tonic swirly frame die cut) i used a sentiment die cut also from Tonic, and I thought it was a good excuse to use some Sweet Lilac flowers, especially as they have a new challenge with a Spring theme.
If your planning a trip to the NEC then pop and say hello on the Claritystamp stand!
Have a good one.
Good Morning!
Things will be a little manic this morning, throwing things in a suitcase and making sure everything is sorted so I can get on the road to the NEC, it's set up day today-never our fave part of the retail exhibitions but necessary, and it's nice when it's done and it looks great.
So before I go, here is a card, apologies for poor photo...
This is another that I did for the Pink series in Creative Cardmaking magazine.
I used the Claritystamp Garden Heart stamp and Kind Hearts verse with a Versamark resist, then brayered Cranberry.
I cut the panel in 3, stamped the verse and added the finishing touches.
Hope you like it!
Evening!
Hope you enjoyed your weekend, I was at the Harrogate show with Barbara and the team, great weekend but tired now, sooo I won't waffle on..
So I used a couple of Clarity stencils with an ink pad and some spray ink.
I masked part of a Claritystamp for the word Friend.
Finished off with a couple of Sweet Lilac flowers.
I'm off for a lie down now.
Thanks for stopping by.
This is my second ever scrapbook layout, I do really like scrap booking I just don't seem to get time, shame when I have so many pics of Steve and Amber.
I love this piccy, Steve's 3rd birthday party, lots of visitors and balloons and food and cool presents like the art easel and paint.
Amber was 11 months and 2 weeks old, very bright and independant but only did things when it suited her, she hadn't shown any interest in standing up and walking because she managed to achieve everything by crawling, so why bother... Then she spotted Steve at his easel with a paintbrush in his hand, she watched him for a minute then stood up at the wall and walked over, took the paintbrush off Steve and shoved him aside while she painted, cheeky madam!
I think the Journalling stamps and Word chains were perfect for this layout, what do you think?
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Monday!
Yes I know lots of you hate Mondays, so does Bob Geldof and the boomtown rats, but we just have to get on with it don't we, so lets smile regardless ok?
I will be busy at the hub prepping for tomorrow at Crafts 4 U 2 Do in St Helens, we are playing with some tasty Clarity stencils with inks pastes glitters and flakes. I will also be tidying my desks so it looks nice on Thursday- sorry to bore you but it's my first class at the hub, and it's sold out, and I'm excited...
Anyways, before I hyperventilate from excitement, lets look at a card...
Now lots of you will long remember that tv show with Barbara and Dean, the design team had a book running to guess how many times they would say Tits on live telly!
The demo Barb did was stunning as was the artwork from the team, I wanted to be a rebel (I know!) and use other colours so it didn't look like a tit (sorry) so when I finished this I thought it looked a little like an eagle ish, with the big wide wingspan, Native American feel maybe, what do you think?
Hope you like my tits/eagles!
Ps, the Linky thing isn't working on my blog app so I can't link to the stamps etc today, sorry.
Happy Sunday!
Oh yes indeed, the sun is shining, birds are singing and the sleep fairy has visited me for the last 2 nights, so it's all good.
So the plan today is throw some dinner in the oven, get my lippy on and go to a local vintage type village fair with the kids, my friend Roy will be there with his Mech'art stall and there will be allsorts of handmade goodies and vintage type stuff.
Speaking of vintage, that helps me decide what to blog for you, how about a card using Claritystamp vintage circus set?
I did quite like the finished result of this one but I'm still not great with those fluffy clouds, not sure why I can't do them, but they did look better when I bushed a bit of vintage photo distress ink over them.
Hope you like it!
Have a lovely Sunday whatever your up to.
Good Morning!
This is another of my Clarity tv samples for March.
I used the Star from the Good Luck set
And
Word chains.
I love that there is a star and a number 7 in the set, makes me think of Steven because he's my 'lucky number 7' I won't depress you and explain why although some of you will guess I'm sure, nowadays though as time has passed and healed a lot, I think of him as a lucky star instead.
Sooo, that's why I wanted to use the star for a card suitable for a teenage boy.
I masked a strip across the card first, then stamped and masked all the stars, and brushed with Sandal ink while still covered, shaded lightly with a Promarker, removed all masking and stamped the words, I stamped another star and creased all the lines so I could 3d it.
Hope you like it!
Have a lucky day.
Evening!
I've been at the hub all day since early, I've packed ready for a class tomorrow, I've made a couple of samples using new cutting dies etc that I ordered at the trade show, I've made a start on a magazine commission, AND....FAO Linda....
I've used bits up again instead of keeping them, are you proud of me? Are you hmm, hmm?
Right I think I've earned a beer!
Thanks for stopping by.
Morning!
I thought I'd show the Clarity wall hanging I gave a sneak peek for on Facebook.
I used
Word chain stamps
Journal stamps and stencil
I really love these new sets and I can see them being used a lot!
Hope you like it
Ooh while I remember, I've been asked a lot lately when I will be back on Create and Craft, the answer is, not until winter is well and truly over!
Thanks for stopping by
Good Morning!
So late as usual, it's time to tell you who won the Sweet Lilac flowers from Kermit..
So, I asked how old you thought I was when I got together with the frog, and most of you made the mistake of doing your maths using the info in the 'about me' box over there---->
And that would have been clever if it was up to the minute info....but it's not been updated for a while, so I wasn't 5 as most of you said, I was 6.
Two people got it right, Linda Page and Wanda, and instead of choosing one of you, you can both have some flowers.
Don't worry if you didn't win, I have another nice giveaway lined up for next week, a couple of the newest coolest Clarity Stencils, so watch out for that.
Morning-ish!
I've had a lazy one so far, but must get going very soon, but thought id blog quickly...
Here's a sample from telly using the Family Tree stencil and the bunny stamps.
The lone bunny at the front is Saphire sat watching from Rainbow Bridge, she would have been 4 this month..
Anyway, today's project is to build/erect/botch a stair or ramp system for Milly, Jake and big Sam to let themselves in and out of their new place, at the moment I'm having to lift them in and out which they don't particularly like, Sam in particular frets if he can't get back in when he's ready.
Morning!
And Happy Valentines to ya.
As you can see, me and my frog are still together and going strong after 38 years, he still hasn't turned into a prince but that's ok.
Kermy is feeling extra loved up this Valentines Day, and would like to send some pretty Sweet Lilac Flowers to a lucky crafter.
Maybe your own frog forgot to even get you a card? Soooo, if you fancy your chances with my frog, just leave a comment and take a guess how old I was when me and Kermy got together...
He will randomly pick a winner from correct answers on Monday.
Goods Morning!
So 3 blog posts in a week, wonders never cease...
Today's card is one I made to use up a couple of scraps from my desk as they were fresh, I'm trying to turn over a new leaf, my friend Linda Page wiped the floor with me over my serious hoarding tendencies, but I can't bring myself to throw everything away so I thought if I used a few bits up as they appeared on my desk...
I used White Brilliance ink to stamp the Clever Urn and Bullrushes onto textured black card, because of the colours it seemed to take on an oriental feel so I grabbed on of the Chinese symbols.
I added a touch of red to the end of the Bullrushes using Prisma pencil.
Hope you like it.
Have a great day whatever your up to.
Evening!
I said I would show you Jeanette's birthday card didn't I...I'm sure she has opened it by now so it's ok.
I'm trying to be a better friend when it comes to birthday cards, so many good friends didn't get one last year, so hopefully I can make up for it this year-we'll see!
I used the Gerbera stamps again with Distress re-inkers..
One of my fave text stamps too...
And a biiiiig embossing folder from Spellbinders.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by, keep watching out for a giveaway very soon...
Good evening!
I thought I would do this now instead of in the morning, I will be running around getting ready for class at Crafts 4 U 2 Do in St Helens...
Actually this is a bit of a sneaky look at one of the projects we will be doing, Distress Re-inkers is the subject.
The stamps used are Large Gerbera and Love and Best Wishes, from Claritystamp of course.
I used these stamps for my friend Jeanette's birthday card too, show you tomorrow after she's opened it, Happy Birthday Jeanette!
Ok, sleep time, nighty night or good morning depending on when you read this.
Hello!
I won't bother with excuses about my absence, I'll just show you a card...
The background was created with a resist technique using Versamark to stamp various text on Clarity coated card, watered down ink was then transferred from a blending mat.
I mopped up the remaining ink with another piece of card and used it to paper piece the Sketched Lady.
Hope you like it!
