Birdsong and a happy birthday

Good morning, and happy Tuesday!

When I saw we had birds and music notes in the same batch of Claritystamps I knew they had to be combined somehow, one of the things I love most in life is seeing birds feeding in my garden and hearing them sing, Quaverbird quite likes it too, he sits on his perch at the kitchen window and sings along with the birds.

I spent a lot of time on my other projects for this month that I wasn't left with much time for this one, so I thought a clean and simple would work best in the time I had.

I stamped the postage stamps first then masked them, stamped the music elements in place. Then I stamped the parakeets through a postage stamp aperture mask, added a little shade and coloured the parakeets brightly.

Something else I need to do, is wish my lovely buddy and team mate Amanda Branston a very very Happy Birthday, I'm feeling a bit of a fail about it actually, I specifically sat at work and completed her card, left it for glue to dry with the intention of going to collect and post it today, but after a busy day with hospital appointments and kids with manflu etc etc, I missed the post! So it'll be a day late oops.

Ok I'm going back to bed for a while, again...

Have a great day whatever you're up to.

  1. Birdsong is one of the most uplifting sounds around and you've captured that beautifully in this card by carrying the notes up the page and bending the music score. Parakeet stamps are fab too. Xx

  2. Gorgeous Maria ...... Lovely CAS design. Xx

  3. Love it. Clean n simple is sometimes all it needs. Xxxxx

  4. Beautiful card Maria, clean and simple it may be but anyone would be happy to receive it.

  5. Love this card, very clean lines.

  7. Love the way you have done this card like the stamps with the birds xx
