Speaking of eggs...

Fave use it up...

Good morning!

It's been a busy ole time and then I did need to take a couple of quiet days.

Ok, excuses done with, here's a card...

This was my fave from the 'use it up' batch from a while ago..

Everything except the card blank was from the bag.

I painted the tailors dummy, inked the edged and stamped my bestest fave Clarity sentiment.

I also daubed some versamark reinker round the edges to hold lots of gold embossing.

Hope you like it.

That Clarity sentiment again, and a bit of Plaster..

Good morning!

Have you got snow? We have a few inches in Birmingham.

Just a quick post while I'm waiting for Dave to come back or me,Barb,Jayne and Heather are already on way to NEC for day 3.

This is another card using Plaster of Paris for texture..

For this one I used plaster bandage for a texture panel and to make the roses.

I'm guessing you know the sentiment is a Clarity, I do use this one a lot I know...

Hope you like it.

Stay warm and safe and if your oming the NEC then one see us at stand A12, we have loads of offers and Barbara is playing with the Gelli Plate...

Clarity Lily

Good evening!

I've been a bad blogger again, sorry..

We are at the NEC, 2 done 3 to go.

My department is film/fibre and gilding flakes while Barbara is creating magic with the Gelli.

Now then, what to show you???

Think I will go with this one..

This is using Lily, one of the new Clarity ladies and her co-ordinating texture stamp.

I stamped the texture into her dress as well as the bottom of the card, I added the vibrant colour with Dylusions and a water brush.

The swirl is a Cheery Lynn cutting die.

Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

Plastered part 1

Good morning!

Hope it's warming up where you are, will be nice to turn the heating down won't it.

Today's card is the first in a series I did for Creative Cardmaking issue 52,it's the one I write my little diary page for, it's on sale now so go grab it...

Anyways, the piece is all about texture with a difference..

I started with some Tim Holtz Tissue wrap on a card, added some distress inks and Dylusions sprays.

Then added some plaster through sequin waste and brushed with ink lightly.

The little cylinders are made from plaster bandage....

Not telling you any more, go get the mag lol

Hope you like it.

Crafty bit of Kraft..

Good morning!

I just realised I hadn't blogged since Saturday, bad blogger..

Here is another 'use it up' card, yes there is still some more to show you.

I had a ton of little accents from the Moroccan Spellbinders and I got bored using them whole, so I cut a couple down the centre longways to see what they looked like, they make a square frame, so that was my starting point.

The only bits not from the bag of stuff was, the card blank and a bit of black card to mat the music score onto.

Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

Final part...

Well that was a lovely dinner, thank you Barbara and Dave.

Final bit of the journey then...

So with my Latte soaked sleeve I gets safely on the Glasgow train (loading my cases far more gingerly this time), bags myself a nice little seat at the back.

Time to get my sarnie out me thinks! Call me fussy but i dont like soggy butties made the night before,so I had my little tub with Tuna filling and my triangles of bread and best butter, posh me you know..

Couple of minor issues with the catering, it was so cold TNT the butter had gone rock hard so I couldn't separate the bread to put the filling in, no biggy I will just spread the tuna on top..so where's my knife? Oops no knife. As luck would have it I still had the stirrer in my half spilt latte, so out it comes, wipe it on my cardi and voila!

Very tasty!

The rest of the journey went nice and quiet, almost...

About 20 minutes before we reached Glasgow I thought I better pay a little visit-no I didn't lock myself in. I came back to my seat and the nice Nigerian chap sat nearby asked me if it was Autumn? So I explained the seasons to him because it sounded like he was just visiting the Uk, as it turns out he has been in the UK for quite some time, he was just trying to start a conversation.

Anyway, his name was Yinka and he was very pleasant, but a little over-enthusiastic about religion...

So that was the journey!

And here is the lovely Claritystamp stand, just as the doors opened this morning.

Next leg of the journey!

Evening!
So that's the opening day of the show done, and a lovely day it was!
Now I said I would share the 2nd leg of my journey with you didn't I...
So, I gets off the train at Wigan, gratefully leaving the loony on the train. Next I find the lady guard and ask her which platform I need for the Glasgow train, "this one, stay right here" she says, fantastic that means I don't have to drag my 2 heavy cases up and down stairs and stuff.
Seven minutes later my train pulls in, so I'm looking or the right carriage and the whistle blows! Oh blimey I better just get on and walk through the train then, so I drag the biggest case on and as I do that the other case with my handbag attached topples over toward the train and deposits half the contents of my handbag down onto the track!!!
So the guard comes running up to see, and it's decided that it's not safe to try and reach my stuff until the train has gone, so my big case comes back off the train and I wave it goodbye as it heads off ti Glasgow without me.
The guard gets a grabber and I am reunited with both my phones and my debit card, and the next train is 45 minutes later, so time for a coffee in the cafe...
Shame the cafe was on the opposite platform but never mind coz there is a lift! So I set off with both my cases, down one lift, walk along and back up the other lift to arrive at the cafe.
Now after the journey so far I didn't want to risk missing the next train, so I decided it best to grab the coffee to take away and go back to other platform so I'm ready for my train...problem was..I had 2 cases and 1 coffee but only 2 hands! Not to be put off by this slight inconvenience I balanced my coffee in 1 hand with a suitcase handle, and by the time I got back to the other platform I only spilled half of it up my sleeve, result!!
Final chapter after dinner I promise!

What is it with trains.....

Good morning/afternoon/evening, whatever it is when I get this to go live!

I'm on my way to Glasgow by train, gives the car and my legs a rest..

Now, is it just me, or do you attract a nutter every time you get on a train???

Seriously, I have 4 trains in my journey and train number 2 hadn't even pulled out of Liverpool when my allocated plonked located and attached himself to me,accompanied by his little music thingy blasting out 'gangnam style'. Would it be rude to ask if his headphones are broken??

So, on verification that he is indeed my loony for today and not a regular passenger, i have issued the initial polite smile and 'don't bother me' expression on my face, I'm now talking to you instead and typing really slowly, and looking really really reeeeeeeeeally busy, not to be disturbed.

Right I best show you a card, I will load it slowwwwwwwly to use up another 90 seconds...

Oh blimey Picassa photo album isn't available without Internet access, so I will add the pic in a bit later.

The music has changed to Bob Marley now, a slight improvement admittedly...

Hurrah! There will soon be an end, he is going to Preston which means he won't be on the Glasgow train!

Am posting this quick before Internet abandons me again!

Will share next leg of journey with you later, it's, erm, comical.....

Just the Cog Swirls...

Morning!

I thought it was warming up but it dropped cold again and I had to defrost the car. Not sure why I was surprised though because I was freezing last night whilst wandering the neighbourhood with a torch looking for Jake bunny, he is seriously like Houdini that rabbit! After an hour and a half of full scale search (apart from the helicopter) it turns out he found the tiniest little gap to get behind the folding chairs in the shed, and sat there happily ignoring everybody calling his name!!!

Rant over..here's a Claritystamp card

This one is made using the swirly cog stamp that accompanies one of the new lady stamps.

I just sprayed the ink and left it to dry thoroughly, then stamped in archival. I coloured the swirls on the left with the ink and a brush and used a white pen on the ones on the right.

The 'Today' stamp is also from Claritystamp.

Thanks for stopping by, have a good day!

The secret is out!

Evening!

Yep I'm late, sorry!

I needed a lazy morning and then I got tied up with all sorts, I have to do 2 sets of editorials, couple of Hougie samples, pack for Glasgow and throw a bit of housework in somewhere too.

Anyway, did you her the news Barbara announced yesterday on telly?

Little ole me will be doing Clarity on telly!!!

You will still have your Clarity weekend with Barbara each month, and somewhere in the middle of the month I will do my bit. The feedback yesterday was fantastic,so many lovely messages, thank you!

Now, speaking of Clarity on telly, here is one of my samples from yesterday.

I started with some Dylusion sprays, a mask and a water spritzer. Then stamped some foliage, Annabel and the squiggle, and some text all in Archival ink, and coloured with he sprays.

Hope you like it!
