Budget Challenge card 3

Good Morning, and it's nearly the weekend. I usually don't get as excited about weekends as a lot of you simply because weekends are regular working days for me most of the time, but this week I'm not working for a change.
But before I get too excited about the prospect of a lazy Saturday, let me show you the third in the set of the budget challenge cards from Creative Cardmaking.

I used that lush Paperartsy Chatsworth paper again.

Book pages to cover a tailors dummy cut with my Timmy sewing room die, I inked the edges lightly with Picked Raspberry ink.

An old zip, the colour of the bag of zips determined the colour scheme for the cards.

The tape measure was cut from Marion Smith paper.

Some lovely flowers from Sweet Lilac, and all finished off with a nice swirly happy birthday sentiment from Claritystamp.

Ok that's it from me today, I must finishe prep for my class this evening.

Thanks for stopping by!

Budget Challenge card 2

Late on parade again, oops.

I'm here now though, and I said id show you another card from the budget challenge I did for Creative Cardmaking...

This one is a shaker card using some more book pages and some seed beads that were in the bargain basket.

I also used my brick wall Claritystencil with some Picked Raspberry ink, and a couple of elements from a piece of Marion Smith scrapbook paper.

This one is a little different from my usual preferred style but it fitted nicely with the other cards in the set.

I'll show you one more tomorrow if you pop back.

Have a good evening whatever you're doing!

Flower Trellis

Hello!
I spent ages deciding what to show you today, I kept going back to this one though....I remember I really enjoyed making it.

I made this one for Creative Cardmaking, the theme was Stencils and the colour pallet included shades of red, turquoise, sandy beige.

I used

my treasured trellis cutter from Tonic,

Filigree Flower stamps and stencil from Claritystamp,

I think I used Adirondack inks, Stream, Aged Mahogany, Sandal.

There are a couple of other designs in this mag feature, I'll show you those soon.

Thanks so much for popping in, I really appreciate it.

Tomorrow I will blog another telly sample from yesterday with Barb.

Vintage Gelli car

Good morning, I hope!

This is a scheduled post...

I sometimes forget to show you magazine stuff because quite a long time passes between making the projects and being published, so I thought I would try scheduling them in advance.

This is one of 4 Gelli plate cards made for Creative Cardmaking.

Hope you like it! Have a good Saturday.

Make your own, part 2.

Evening, yes I'm late on parade today, I've been to the zoo.

I did remember though, I said I would show you the other cards in this series...

So here they are.

The top one was made with a piece of foam cut randomly then die cut to remove a heart.

I also used a Clarity sentiment.

Below was made with the heart cut from the other piece of foam, I used a bit of stamp kissing on that one with my small Leafy Swirl from Clarity.

It was a fun assignment to do, but I still needed my beloved Claritystamps too!

So what do you think?

I still have a few bits I haven't shown you, this is part of a set I did for Creative Cardmaking a while ago

The theme was make your own stamps..

For this one I made a background stamp with Dewdrops.

For this one I die cut the music notes from foam

And for this one I used string glued to a wooden block

I thought these 3 were ok for teenagers, tomorrow I will show you the other 3 in the set.

Thanks for stopping by!

I had to make three pieces that could include a small gift, using UTEE.

Pair of earrings....

The photography isn't great....sorry.

A key ring..

Handbag charm.

The paper is from Prima but I can't remember what it's called.

Hope you like them.

Enjoy your Bank Holiday Monday whatever your doing!

Fun in the Sun

Mornin!

Today's card is part of a magazine piece for Creative Stamping issue 10

The theme was film/fibres using the free stamps that come with the magazine.

I 'borrowed' some of Quaver birdy's sandpaper for these cards, poor little guy had to put up with newspaper in the bottom of his cage instead.

Come back soon or another in the set.

Have a good one.

That Clarity sentiment again, and a bit of Plaster..

Good morning!

Have you got snow? We have a few inches in Birmingham.

Just a quick post while I'm waiting for Dave to come back or me,Barb,Jayne and Heather are already on way to NEC for day 3.

This is another card using Plaster of Paris for texture..

For this one I used plaster bandage for a texture panel and to make the roses.

I'm guessing you know the sentiment is a Clarity, I do use this one a lot I know...

Hope you like it.

Stay warm and safe and if your oming the NEC then one see us at stand A12, we have loads of offers and Barbara is playing with the Gelli Plate...

Special Day

Good morning, it's time for the final card in the handmade paper series..

Another simple one.

I ended up with a couple of odd pieces of paper when I ripped a piece making it,

so I thought I would use it as it was.

I scored it with my hoagie, added some leaves and flowers and a banner.

The sentiment is part of a Claritystamp masked off.

I hope you liked the cards, they were fun to make even though the paper making was messy!

Handmade and hexagons

Hello!

Weekend is nearly here, I will be working...ok,so I get paid for indulging in what I love but the driving and packing counts as work doesn't it!

Time for card number 3 in the handmade paper cards I made for Creative Cardmaking.

For this one I used a bit of all the papers I made added with a bit of Kraft. I wanted to keep these cards simple, the focus was supposed to be the paper after all.

The sentiment is a Claritystamp, this is one of the ones that stays on the rack in front of my desk, never gets put away!

Have a good day even if your not doing what you love...

Just for you

Good morning!

Today's card is one of a series I did for Creative Cardmaking issue 51, it's on the shelves now!

The theme was handmade paper from scraps.

For this one I added some Lavender pods to the paper for texture and left the edges raggy.

I coloured with a little red mica spray in the water while I made the paper.

The sentiment is from lili of the valley, swirl is a cheery Lynn die.

Hope you like it!

Winter birthday

Good morning!
Today's card is one I made for Creative Stamping issue 7

This is a 6 inch card using the free stamp set and a custom ink pad with distress re-inkers.
The paper is from craft creations, corner punch is a Martha Stewart.
I'm guessing you recognise the aperture shape ?
Have a good one!

Oh Joy

Good morning, well I assume so, because when this goes live at 6.30 am I will be fast asleep I hope!

Today's card is a magazine card for my first blog diary in Creative Cardmaking issue 40, I saw it on the shelf in a craft shop and my little photo stared back at me on the front cover- that was wierd!

The paper used is Up Up & Away from First Edition, dont think it should be called paper though-its far too luxurious!
Not much inky stuff on this card, I just inked edges.
There is plenty of inkyness in the card for issue 42 though, itson sale now I believe.

See you soon!
