Clarity Petals, Mustard, & a Splodge A Mask.

Good Morning!
Todays card is one from the In the Classroom with Barbara show on Create & Craft today, hope you can get to watch it!
I stamped the petals onto cream card, cut out & made the flower, then glazed in my melt pot- it was messy so i might do each petal first next time then put it together.

The background is using Butterscotch/Expresso ink randomly through sequin waste, I think it looks a mustard colour which is a change for me.
I used a lovely Butterfly swirl Splodge A Mask from Splodge Away with some gold and bronze croco paint.
Bit more stamping and there you have it!

Have a good one, see you soon.

Kiss the cook

Good Morning
Today's card is another mini card made using the Baking set from the Clarity four day deal.
I stamped the cupcakes and masked them, stamped the cake stand and drew the top tier. I coloured with copics and edged in Cotton Candy ink using my Splodge Away mat.

Have a good Sunday!

Peachy & floral.

Good very early morning! Yep, its another scheduled post...

Today's card is using a couple of stamps from Chloe.

The background was clear embossed with the flowers in opposite corners before being inked with Peach Bellini, then more flowers stamped in Peach.
The swirl and sentiment are gold embossed onto Heat Resistant Acetate, I added some pearly dots along the swirl and added a velum flower.

Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by.

One of my faves!

As the title suggests this is one of my fave cards, I did this for Creative Cardmaking, issue 39 I think.  It was a brayering piece and I thought it would be an idea to make one of the cards a bit of a taster with bite size brayering techniques. So here I used the bouncing brayer technique, masking/brayering, and good old graduated brayering with softness.  I also got to use some of my fave Clarity stamps for this one too and of course Butterscotch Adirondack which I cant live without!

Thanks for looking, have a great day!

For a sweet one!

Good Morning to you!
Im trying really hard to get back to blogging every day (ish) so here is another of my makes for the Clarity 4 day deal.

This is using the Baking/Kitchen set, my Clarity Scrabble set and my Hougie board!
Its quite self explanatory this one isnt it, so I wont bang on about it.
I thought this might be a nice idea for party boxes for kids.

Ok I have to get some work done, after a relatively sedate couple of days its busy again today, so see you soon.

Some old catalogue cards

Good Morning to you, hope you are well?

I was looking through the masses of card pics on my computer and found a few that I have never blogged (to the best of my dodgy old memory) so I thought I would schedule a few random posts to show a couple.

These ones were made originally for a mail order catalogue for cardcraft.
The idea for Catalogue cards is to make loads of simple cards quickly, so I never really got time to play properly with any of these stamps.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks SOW much

Good morning, its the start of another fresh one!
Did you have a good weekend?
I had a lovely day on Saturday at JGD Crafts in Sutton-in-Ashfield where I was so well looked after by Janet-hot lunch and everything! And the ladies in my class were fantastic.
Sunday I very nearly had a day off with the kids-just did a tinsy bit of work on some samples for the Classroom lesson with Barbara in two weeks.

Todays card is another from the four day deal shows, I have to admit that as I am not really much of a gardener this set was a bit of a challenge for me, but I thought that a couple of mini cards are a must have for a set of mini stamps!

I stamped the flowers and masked before stamping the plantpot.
Roses are tinted with a touch of Prisma pencil, the pot is coloured with Copic.

Right im off, no slacking today!
See you soon.

Im in the garden

Its Slipper day..for you maybe!
I am busy working today so slippers will have to stay at home and keep Milly Posh Paws company.
Today I have a door hanger to show you, being honest I have always thought of door hangers as only useful for kids bedroom doors but then I got to thinking (yes it gave me a headache)and I thought about how many times when the kids are in and out of the house and say "where's mum?" or "where's Steve?" so stick this on the inside of the back door so they know where you are.
Not a great idea to hang it outside the front door for the world to see though-the burglars may disagree with me!
Stamps used are from the Clarity 4 day deal and also my Clarity Scrabble set.
I stamped in Coffee Archival and added a little tea dye stain.

Right thats it from me, you got your slippers on? good, have a good one.

Little Blue cupcake

Morning gang!
This is something you dont see from me very often, a tinsy winsy little card, yep its not just biggies I like.
Im sure you will recognise the little stamps if you have seen any Create & Craft this week, this was from the Clarity set which sold out along with everything but the counter tops!
I thought this set might be nice for scrapbook pages too, as you know I dont do scrapping but it has been on my mind more and more to have a go, so time permitting.....
Have a good Friday whatever your doing, I am getting ready to go to Nottinghamshire for workshops at JGD Crafts tomorrow.

Distressed box

Well thanks blogger! this went live unexpectedly without any text..

I made this for the Clarity 4 day deal using the corners & flourishes set.
I cut the box to size and did the score lines first and then did the messy distress bit and the stamping before putting the box together, it looks nicer in the flesh but I wish I had gone a shade lighter for the distress so the stamping would stand out a little more.

Right thats it for today, I am typing like a woman possessed trying to finish the text for my magazine stuff, its late!
Thanks for stopping by.

Par Avion

Good morning, I have another 4 day deal sample to show you today.
This one is using the Corner/Flourish set and my Stamp stamps.
I added a little colour to the flowers with Copics, just enough to tie in with the rather nice (i think) First Edition paper.

See you tomorrow!

Smell the Roses

Hello!
Something a little different today.
I have had a couple of plant pots sat waiting to be loved for ages, so on Saturday when I was trying to decide what else to make for the Clarity 4 day deal shows this one was finally put to use!
I rubbed the pot with some Inca Gold paint in Rose red, stamped the roses onto tissue paper in Archival and then stuck to the pot with Glue & Seal, normally when I use tissue paper I try to disguise it but I wanted the added interest this time.
I also used my Clarity Scrabble set for the text, I coloured & shaded with a magenta Prisma pencil.
Finally I added some Gold coloured Inca gold to all the tissue paper overlaps.
I know its quite rustic and not to everybody's taste but I hope you like it!

See you soon.

Clarity tea for two!

Good Morning.
Hope everybody had a good weekend whatever you did!

I was demonstrating at Stamp Magic in Doncaster yesterday.
I spent Saturday trying to get stuff done for Barbara's Claritystamp 4-day deal on Create & Craft, if blogger is playing nicely then this post will go live 5 minutes into the first show, so get on over and have a look!

Here is one of the samples I made

So they can have a cuppa after the show!

I just realised I didnt take a photo of my personalised stamp for you to see, it was a lovely surprise when it dropped through the door because I decided I had to have one as soon as I saw the 'plans' for them earlier in the year!
Right stuff to do, have a good one.

Brayer kissed leaf

Good morning!

Today's card is another magazine card for Creative Cardmaking.
Brayer techniques used are Brayering edges, Brayer Kissing.

Thanks for stopping by, have a good Sunday.

Clarity Gymnasts

Good very early morning, which can mean only one thing-I wrote this post last night and Im actually still asleep!
This is another of my Clarity samples from last weekend, this one uses the Sport set from the Classroom and the Gymnast set.
I was so short of time doing these cards due to tons happening at home, including my lovely TJ's funeral, kids appointments etc, so I didnt produce anything particularly stunning.

Have a good Friday folks!

Flittered Fish

Good Morning, I thought it was time I had a go at my Flitter Glu, yep its strong!  I stamped my Clarity Fish & sentiment with the glu and applied Guilding flakes, I scrubbed quite vigorously to get all the excess flake from between the stamped lined which are very detailed, but I didnt drag any of the image back off, so it passes the test!
I also used one of the new Lattice Splodge-a-Masks (Thank you Tom), I embossed and then sprayed with Egyptian Blue Mica from Cosmic Shimmer, the twine is also from the Vintage range from Creative Expressions.

Thats it for today, Im off for some MORE dental treatment today, booooo!

Bunting, but no Red, White & Blue

Good afternoon, hope everybody is enjoying the long Bank Holiday break.  Im actually busying away, lots of deadlines this week, but I did take yesterday off to do stuff with the kids.  I wanted to go and support the very talented Jane Telford, she was doing her first ever painting demo-I was totally in awe of her, im hoping for some tuition.  The garden centre in Stockport was fantastic for all the family, Stevie & Amber loved it!

Anyways, while Im sat having a quick coffee break I thought I could just blog mega fast, so here is another of my Clarity samples from the weekend, I spotted the bunting in a shop but didnt really want to do Red,White & Blue- I always have to be different dont I!!!!
I used the flower stamp that was in the Wheelie Happy Birthday set, and one of my fave Clarity sentiments.

Im sure you will recognise the twine, Foliage dies and Card Candi...

Right, back to it, see you soon & thanks for stopping by!

You cant see in the pics but the 'Sport' is embossed with Red, Pearl, and Blue powder from Cosmic Shimmer.

Quick reminder for my Sunday Clarity workshop ladies, dont forget to set your recorders and get your orders in for Barbara's shows Tomorrow.

Sunset drift.

Hello!

Inks used are Butterscotch and Denim Adirondack.
Stamps are all from Claritystamp.

Dont forget Barbara is back on Create & Craft this weekend.

Thats it for today, I have to be in lots of places at once including Stevie's sports day, Amber has a football match, etc, could be interesting!
