Funny shaped pattern building!

Good Afternoon!
Apologies for my absence, its been a busy ole time again..
I have been working away and prepping workshops etc.

This is a card we did in a Clarity pattern building class on the Wirral.
No brayering on this one, I wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary, thats when I usual end up using a funny shape..but it does fit an an 8x8 envelope.
We used the Leafy Corner with Mountain Meadow big & juicy ink.

Hope you like it!
There is still time to vote for your fave Claritystampers Northwest homework piece, just scroll down a couple of posts.

Thanks for stopping by, have a good day!

A bit Nautical

Good evening!
I thought I would blog while watching telly in our hotel room, we have had a fantastic day at Doncaster Racecourse, lots of people coming to grab their new Splodge Away mat from the Claritystamp stand.
I had a little look to see what pics I could show you but there isnt much Clarity to show until the next Create & Craft shows, so here is something different.
This is using the 2 sets of nautical stamps from Creative Expressions.
I also used some mica for the text, twine, screw top brads from Creative Expressions.

Thats it done, im off to put my feet up!

My first Twinchie-in a hurry!

Yep mega fast post coming up!
I wanted to support my crafty friend Mrs G with a new creative venture, the Show us your Twinchie challenge blog.
Sounds cool doesnt it, you just make a mini piece of artwork 2inches square.
I have been so mega busy that I confess I just wacked this together-will try harder next time Eileen I promise!
I used stamps from Dimension Stamps, Petal Passion & Clockwise.  Drizzled on some glossy and sprinkled some mica flakes and added the key.
Now if my memory serves me right I need to complete this post then go over to twinchie and link to my post before the deadline tomorrow.
Have a good one!

ooh and if your coming to Summer Crafting, come see us at the Clarity stand where we also have the new Splodge Away mats too!!!!!

Aqua Corset

Hello!
Im cheating again by scheduling a few blog posts while I have 5 mins to spare...
This is an A5 card using the lovely Claritystamp Corset and Feminine legs with the 'A thing of beauty' sentiment.

I used Aqua Adirondack.
The resist effect on the corset was done by stamping and clear embossing the text then adding the aqua ink.
I dont always sew/lace up the corset, this time i just added some gems.

Hope you like it, thanks for looking.
Have a good one!

Clarity Brayering & the Splodge Away!

Hello there gang, and welcome to my new followers, Im glad to have you!

I was going to show you the full picture of the Mirror I made for the Splodge Away tv launch, but errrm, I think Tom has took it up North with him so you will have to wait a bit longer.

So instead, today's card is a warm up piece from a Claritystamp pattern building class a while ago.
We used Leafy Corner (the one that started the clever corners apparently) and the William Shakespear sentiment.

This was the first time my gang got their hands on the Splodge Away blending mat, the brayering around the edges of this piece was a doddle for them!
I had to ring Tom after the class and ask for more mats because the class had taken most of them off me- I hadnt intended selling them!

Have a great day whatever your up to!

Peachy Corset

Good Morning!
Are you all well? Hopefully the rain didnt cause you much bother again at the weekend. I didnt see much of it because I was indoors working hard with Team Clarity (Barb,Dave, Terri & Paul) we had a fantastic time at Newbury and as usual met some great people! (and picked up a couple of nice goodies for the craft temple)
Nice to get home though isnt it, so I have slept late today as Steve & Amber wont be home from their dads until after school.

Anyways, time for a card..

Do I need to introduce these Clarity stamps, didnt think so..

This was one of my workshop designs from ages ago, I dont show workshop cards at the time of the classes, I keep them in stealth mode for a few months first.

Hope you like it, the class did.

Thats it for today but come back tomorrow to see the whole picture of the mirror I did for Splodge Away's tv launch, which sold out mega fast by the way!

Mocha Dressform

Morning!
Todays card is actually a topper, this was a workshop piece from a while ago and I dont normally put workshop examples together as an actual card because if its not sent to anyone then its a bit of a waste, so I make it as a topper instead.

This is using the Steampunk Dreams stamps from Creative Expressions.
Ink used is Expresso Adirondack, first & second generation.
The embossing powder is a stunning colour, its Ancient copper from Cosmic Shimmer.
Can you see how soft the blending is on the background circle? that is courtesy of Splodge Away!
The cutting die is from Creata, I got this from Carley Duff ages ago, she's a lovely girl.
A big gem brad & the mandatory bit of twine to finish, the class matted theirs up and stuck it on a cream 8x8 card blank.
Hope you like it.

Acetate Iris

Morning!
I came across a box of TV cards from ages ago that I hadnt blogged,
This one uses a stunning large stamp from Heartfelt Creations.

I was going to put flowers and foliage and stuff on this but everything I tried looked wrong, it just looked far better as it is.
I stamped/embossed onto Heat resistant Acetate and coloured with Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paints.

I edges with Spellbindes border strip, I think this one is Parisian.
Thanks for looking!

Did I tell you about the weekend...

Evenin all!
That threw you didnt it- its usually good morning...
I just realised that I have been trying to blog about so much this week that I didnt manage to tell you how the weekend went.
Well it was great!
The class with myself and Annette was a great success and we have had some lovely feedback about the day.
I was so nervous about Linda coming because I thought "what can I possibly teach Craft Stamper of the year" seriously, she is a lady of unlimited talent and I have admired her work for a long time.
Annette doesnt get rattled by anything in a class, she just takes it all in her stride-I love working with her!
Sooo, you can imagine my joy when Linda enjoyed the day.
Im looking forward to next time she can squeeze one of my classes in.
From left to right
Sharon the Birthday Girl, Moi, Amber, Linda, Annette
Still smiling at the end of a busy crafty day!
Amber was funny with the wipeclean board, I bought it to write measurements etc on so everyone can see it, when we needed to pick up the pace a little to fit another card in by lunch, Amber changed the board to
KEEP CALM AND CRAFT FASTER!

Ok thats all for now, see you manyana for a sneek peek for Thursday..

She is sooo Black & White

Good Morning, today's card is using Madeleine from Clarity.
I wanted to do something clean & simple because the other card i did with this was more colourful.
I just did a little Zentangle, glazed the flowers & lips.
Hope you like it!

Bit of TV Gossip and a Design Team call.

I said I had some gossip didnt I, well, Im back on Create & Craft on Thursday at 12 noon, with Tom from Splodge Away-he passed his screen test last week!
We will be showcasing the FANTSTIC Splodge Away mat and a handful of the new Splodge A Mask designs, you will love these especially if you like bigger cards, Scrapbooking etc.
I hope you can join us for some fantastic goodies and demo's.
I have to admit to being a bit nervous because I have not been on the box for a couple of months but I think it should all go really well.
I mentioned a design team call too, pop over to the Splodge Away blog for more info on that.

Feminine Kraft

Happy Monday!
I couldnt decide which card to show you today, I did a few with the Clarity Corset & Feminine legs.
I have had this gingham pearlised card ages, I knew it was gonna look good when I finally used it, I think it looks awesome with Kraft card, what do you think?
The leaves are suede and I made the flowers freehand.

I added colour to the corset with a white Prisma pencil.
And oh look what a surprise, its heat resistant Acetate!
Im sure you recognise the Clarity Leafy Swirl that I clear embossed onto the Acetate.
Bit of piercing, white faux stiches...

Hope you like it!

Flutterby Clarity

Hello! Im cheating again, this goes live at 6.30am, I am definitely NOT live at this time-its Sunday im allowed!
This is another Classroom make

I stamped & Silver embossed the Butterflies onto some Vintage paper from Craftwork Cards and coloured with Polychromos Pencils, there is a little shading but you cant see it in the pics :-(
I also used a little Gesso on the background and stamped the Dreams sentiment from Clarity. I stamped the edges of some of the Clarity petals in Broken China and inked around some of the little cog masks from one of ny fave Splodge A Mask sets (show you it properly soon).
Some of the new lace I bought from JGD Crafts a couplke of weeks ago, bit of twine and a flower to finish.

Hope you like it!

See you tomorrow for more Clarity designs and some gossip!!!
