Clean and simple Christmas

Good Morning and happy Friday!

It's the halfway point in the clean and simple Christmas challenge over at Fantasy Stampers, here's my card...

I used my large leafy swirl from Clarity, and a really old bauble stamp.

I used Cornflower archival ink for nice detailed stamping.

I have made a batch of these because they are so quick to make.

There's some lovely ideas from the other dt ladies, so pop over to Fantasy Stampers and have a look.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day. X

Traditional Christmas

Good Morning, and happy Sunday!

It's halfway through the current challenge over at Fantastic Stampers challenge blog, so you still have time to get an entry organised, the theme is Traditional Christmas.

I've opted for traditional colours

I've used a combination of distress inks and archival for a cool resist technique.

Stamps used are the new Clarity Snowflakes and a Wordchain.

Pop over and see what the other Fantasy Stampers dt members have created for the challenge, some lovely inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I did a similar card to this on telly a couple of years ago.

I love Frosty the snowman, and the music scrolls are pretty useful too.

Animal Antics

Evening!

Just wanted to let you know about the new challenge theme over at Fantasy Stampers challenge blog, it's called Animal Antics, now that gives plenty of scope doesn't it, here's my DT card...

I used Claritystamp line sentiments, stag, and little trees from the Christmas jumper set. For a change from black, I stamped using a custom inkpad made with a piece of Cut n Dry felt and a couple of the cool Pure Colour Chemistry inks from Oak House Studio.

The other members of the Fantasy Stampers design team have created some lovely projects if you would like to pop over and look, and you have until week on Friday to enter the challenge.

Fright Night

Good Morning!

Is it really Monday again, already!

The last few weeks have been taken up with packing and moving, but the old place is now done and I hand the keys over today, now I just have to unpack....I can't find a thing at the moment, but it'll be ok.

So what about my card...it's for the new challenge over at Fantasy Stampers, the theme is

Fright Night/Halloween. The other dt members have done some lovely work, we'd all love you to enter the challenge.

I used a Swirly Skull stamp from Dimension stamps, clear embossed it onto black card then decoupaged the skull on white.

I don't have a lot of Halloween type stamps, but It would be rude not to have a couple, especially as Halloween is Amber's birthday.

Speaking of birthdays, my little boy is 16 today!!!

So it's only fair I show a photo of him when he was still cute....

Yes, definitely still cute at 6, even in a blonde wig.....

Happy Birthday Son, I love you!!!!!!!!

Steampunk challenge at Fantasy Stampers

Good Morning!

Time has really run away from me the last couple of weeks, I've been really busy moving, I'm so sick of the sight of cardboard boxes, I really am.

Anyway, I should have blogged my card 6 days ago, that's when the Steampunk challenge went live over on Fantasy Stampers challenge blog.

I absolutely love steampunk, but found I didn't have any stamps to really fir the theme, so I adapted this card with some cogs and wings to create a girly steampunk feel.

The background isn't too clear, but trust me it's a brayered resist.

Gilding flakes on acetate for wings.

Diecut from Tim Holtz sewing room

And various Claritystamps and stencils.

There's still a full week to enter the challenge, so why not pop over and see what the rest of the DT have created and get a peek at the other entries.

Have a great day, another busy one for me!

Autumn Leaves at Fantasy Stampers

Good Morning

Thanks for popping in.

There's a new challenge theme over on Fantasy Stampers challenge bclog, quite appropriate to the weather this weekend, it's Autumn Leaves.

I used the Autumn Leaves/Maple Leaves stamp set from Clarity, we have that set with us at the open days in Catterick, come and get it!

I used Willow, Lettuce, Terracotta, Butterscotch and Raisin Inkpads to stamp, then brushed a couple of colours around the edges. I stamped and cut out a couple of extra leaves to 3D and added glossy accent veins.

The other Fantasy DT girls have done some lovely work if you would like to check them out, and we'd love you to join in the challenge, you have two weeks to get your entry in.

Ok, I'm off, have a great Sunday x

Finish it Friday #9

Good Morning folks!

It's Friday again, so another Finish it Friday project is in order.

This one is using up a little demo practice piece from when I was experimenting with distress markers to create a landscape.

I was pleased that I achieved the look I wanted.

To finish it off, I just needed to ink the edges and stamp a tree!
Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it.

Finish it Friday #8

Good Morning, hope you are well.

Another Finish it Friday project.

This one is made up of bits of linen card that I used for demo'ing easy inky backgrounds in a class, I chopped one of them up to paper weave then sprayed it with distress ink for extra texture. I added a couple of book page circles that were used in the same project along with the butterfly which I added glossy accents and a tiny key.

The original class card looked like this one below....

Have you got any leftover bits to use up, what you gonna make?

Have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!

I've joined the Fantasy Stampers DT.

Hello bloggy friends, happy Saturday to you!

I've been looking forward to telling you that I've been invited to join some lovely crafty ladies on the design team at Fantasy Stampers challenge blog, it's been a long time since I've done any challenge blog stuff for various reasons, i have missed it so I'm happy to jump back in.

The theme for the new challenge is

The colour Purple

I gently brushed Milled Lavender distress ink through my brick stencil, then stamped Shepherds Purse in Dusty Concorde ink and washed over it with a very wet small paintbrush to give a washy look. Then I splattered a little more Dusty Concorde across the card and added a sentiment.

There are some lovely inspiration cards by the other dt members over on the Fantasy Stampers blog, why not pop over and have a look.

Thanks for stopping by!

Finish it Friday #7

Good Morning!

Well it will hopefully be morning when this goes live, I'm scheduling because I'll be in the middle of a field with no Internet, but it's good to take yourself off once in a while isn't it, and I'll be with good friends and my wellies!

So, what unloved scraps have I thrown together for this week then.....

I had a dig in the abandoned Gelli print pile and found this one that I could match up with a part done butterfly montage topper that had an Anglina film butterfly on, the butterfly was very battered and old so I pulled it back off and added a plain one, just stamped in Lettuce ink to match, I decided to leave it uncoloured to stand out against all that yellowy green. So I just trimmed everything up, edged with a black inkpad, layered onto black card and added some torn parchment paper and sticky gems.

Hope you like it!

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges....

Fab and Funky Things with wings

Crafting with an attitude Anything goes

Have a lovely weekend!

Finish it Friday #6

Good Morning and happy nearly weekend!

Another Finish it Friday project then, here we go....

This one is combining two abandoned pieces, the background was done by brayering various colours of Paperartsy chalk paint and then stamped in paint with my Journalling stamp set. I was trying some colours together that I wouldn't normally combine, I quite like this one so I'm. It sure why I put it in the unloved box.

The central piece has been in my scraps forever, since I was demoing Angelina film/fibres at all the shows around the country, it just needed finishing so I coloured the corset with Promarker, and added Glossy Accents.

What have you got cluttering up your desk then? You gonna go and use it up?

Have a great weekend whatever you're up to!

Easy Happy Birthday

Good afternoon!

I should have blogged on Friday with another Finish it Friday project, the project was done but I ran out of time to blog.

This Friday seems ages away so I thought id sneak in a quick blog post with a very quick birthday card.

This is also a finish it project, I had some swatches from when new embossing folders arrived ages and ages ago, and I had a handful of the little Clarity cat already stamped and cut into tiles, very handy in a hurry!

So you'll come back on Friday?

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by.
