Happy Birthday to my little witch!!

Its my Amber's 9th birthday today, this is her card combo.  I made the card ages ago and put it away and decided this week to make a co-ordinating easel chest.

Mmm,Maltesers!
The real surprise was the MP4 player (or P-Pod as My 90 year old Uncle Frank calls them) that i put in the bottom drawer.
The drawers are lined in pale pink.

I need to double check, but i think Roy from Dimension4th designed this image for the Glitter girls.
I have coloured with promarkers and glitter.

Sentiment stamp is from Pink Gem, cutting die is from Marianne, flowers are from Wild Orchid.
Unfortunately the lack of light, and the absense of a decent photographer mean you cant see all the lovely sparkly bits!

If i make these chests any taller i may need planning permission!
There are 2 drawers on the other side, making a total of 7, i just get a bit carried away once i start.

This is the hidden message if you untie the ribbon bow, I wanted to write this by hand, please forgive my naff handwriting!!

Im so frustrated about the pic quality!grrrr

I made the little handles from bow trim and pink brads, they are pretty sturdy.

Small stuff says she is very very very pleased with them, result!

For the benefit of challenges, i am entering the chest and not the card, the card has previously been blogged.
I would like to enter the chest into the following challenges

Competition card

This is the card i won at Happy Stampers with on Saturday-im still a bit stunned, there was about 150 entries apparently!
As you can see the theme was black and white-no grey or skin tones allowed.

The image is Sugar Nellie's Goth Girl, the skull and crossbone is from Lost Coast (it was a long strip border stamp but i cut 1 off the end to use alone for little embellies etc,its now one of my most used stamps)
As you can see, i have made my own backing papers, black on black and then white on black.  I made the embellies with the skull and then the edge is from a Paula Pascual sentiment set- i thought it made them look like pirate coins.
The punch is an MS

I coloured using my Fineliner pen.
Because i was not allowed to do my usual shading with grey tones i needed something to make the image pop,so i highlighted the edges with glitter.

Smoky distressed Butterfly

This i stamp from Clarity ( i borrowed it off Amber) I stamped onto pealised card for this one because i didnt want to do very much to it-it doesnt need it! So i just used my black prisma pencil to give a smoky/distress feel, tinsy bit of clear glitter and a couple of tiny gems.

The pearly sheen is lovely.

Amber's competition card

I had to show you this, its Amber's entry for the Happy Stampers under 16's competition today on the Wirral. The theme is black and white-and when i say black and white thats exactly what i mean,no grey,no metal,no skin tones,no mirri board.
Anyway, Amber started by making a aperture mask with the film strip stamp then stamped her film strips onto card. Then she stamped all her little Clarity stamps through the aperture into the windows. She has added clear glitter and pearls.
Normally she would have her inky sponge and brayer out and add a nice sky and some shading but the graduation into grey shades would get her disqualified from the competition!!!!
I will list the stamps used after i check with Amber, some are her Clarity project club stamps and some are over the counter Clarity's,im not sure which.

Quick update, unfortunately Amber didnt win this time (she was competing against 16 year olds and she is only 8)-there is always next time though!

Amber would like me to enter her card for some challenges

My poor little Milly

Well what a day so far!  I spent this morning at the vet with my Milly, somehow she has torn one side of her lip off!!  I think the car took itself to the vet cause i could barely see the road for crying.  She has had antibiotics, painkillers and anti inflammatory's and i have daily meds for her until she goes back on Tuesday. Luckily Steve and Amber stayed at my Mum and Dad's last night so they dont know-Amber especially will freak!  So i arranged for them to stay out for the weekend, hopefully by the time they see Milly her mouth will start to heal and not look as bad. You cant see it in this pic and i decided not to put a pic of her mouth cause its gruesome-my poor little girl!
Fortunately i have managed to get her to eat  some of her nuggies (Burgess's Finest) as long as it doesnt touch the outside of her mouth, and i just diced some apple and pear into tiny little pieces-she is tucking into those now.
As yet its a mystery how it happened,i cant find anything sharp or jagged in the house that could have caused it,  i also checked the run in the garden for sharp bits, now i need to drag the panels of the old shed out and see if there is any nails at the bottoms of those-Milly and Saphire wont be playing out until its sorted!
I will let you know how she goes over the next couple of days.
