WOYWW

Well its wednesday again,so time to have a peek at everybody's work desk, drool over new goodies, maybe pick up a couple of handy tips, maybe a bit of gossip. Speaking of gossip, i have been reading Julia's 'Tales from behind the till',if you have'nt seen them you gotta go have a look,so funny-i think she is one of those people who just attracts weirdo's and loony's!

Anyway,my desk today, I have a couple of nearly finished cards, some Sweet Pea stamps that i won!, some gold glamour dust-i adore the crystal but thought i would try the gold because it was a quid! Also i have my new heat tool that my lovely daddy bought me from Ostletwistle Mills (did i spell that right?)  I put a tumble dryer sheet next to my doily die cutter deliberately to remind me to share a tip with you (assuming you dont already know) If you rub your die with the sheet before you use it,your die cut doesnt get stuck inside the die-result!,how many times have you had to prize one out of a Marianne die with a sharp instrument!

That was a long post for me, im gonna go over to Julia's blog later and try and catch up with as many WOYWW bloggers as possible, click here to go see whats going on at Julia's.

  2. Is that Alice Cooper I spy?

I loved the story from Julia too - not that I would have liked to have been her.

Love that swirly stamp you have used - lucky you winning some SP stamps - will enjoy seeing what you make with them.

By the way - I have not got things under control for my clay workshop tomorrow - not like me but so much to do, so little time (same old story)and the shop has bought the wrong kind of polymer clay (help!).

  3. now that seems like a much better tip than spraying with washing up liquid and water.......
Stick and cupboard both considered at some points - nearly didn't have to worry at all anymore when he charged out into the middle of a main road earlier(very fortunately empty at the time) but he does make me laugh the loudest of anyone I know so you know pain / pleasure. Should have stayed in and crafted!

  4. Loving your Alice Cooper work! Did you see him on Strictly the other week? I think that black eyeliner is hiding a lot of wrinkles!

Wow what a great tip, I'd heard of using dryer sheets to remove static before embossing but using it on dies is a new one. Thanks!

  6. Well, I'm pleased you enjoyed the tales from behind the till! Your shiny new heatgun makes mine look very shabby and over used! Mine is at least 12 years old and has never failed me, so am pleases you've got the same.

  7. Thanks for the tip about the dryer sheet, will have to go and buy some of those now... thought I was being clever and got one of the ones you stick inside the dryer drum so you don't have to remember to put them in... but you can't sue them for anti static on stamps and making dies come away easily, now can you? 9. Great tip, thank you, about the tumble dryer sheet.
How lovely to have a Dear Dad who buys you crafty things. He's a sweetie. BTW It's Oswaldtwistle Mills... or most of us call it Ozzy Mills and it is where Dawn Bibby used to have her shop within the Mill. ( She has a bigger one now nearby)

  31. It's bad enough that I am running nearly a week late, then I have been plagued with that pesky 503 error all night. Just wanted to drop in and let you know I was here this week. Finally found your WOYWW post. Got to see the finished cards before I saw this post. Like eating dessert first!
