Bloom

Evening!

Yep it's been two whole weeks, I've been slacking again...

I'm here now though, so without further waffle, here's a card.

I love how you can pull lots of little bits out of the large wallflower corner stamp and use them like this as well as the whole corner.

I used the following..

Wallflower set

Foliage from Fly Away

New letterbox kit

Various Archival inks

Ok so that was a quick post, so I'll try to do another post before weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love flowers

Good Morning!

So back to normal then eh, whatever normal means.

I have been trying to find more time to blog lately, sometimes easier than others, I've tried to catch up with friends blogs too and while doing this I've spotted a couple of challenges that look fun.

So I made this...

For this challenge below...

And as luck would have it, it also fits the Craft Stamper challenge theme of lots of colour, so I'm just playing along for fun.

So all I did was make a panel card using

Jim's flowers stencil

Stencil brushes

Various distress inks

Sentiment stamp, I was a little limited because all my stamps etc are at work and I'm at home.

That's all for now, I have to pack for Ally Pally.

Thanks for stopping by.

So there it is in full, hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping in.

Sneak peek

Good morning, I promised a sneak peek didn't I, here it is.....

Barbara has her usual 9-11am show and an additional hour in the afternoon at 2pm, so put the chocolate eggs down for a minute and set yourself a reminder!

Have a great day whatever you're up to!

Happy Easter

Good Morning!

So, you were not impressed with my Christmas card in March then lol, I could hear you groaning through my iPad screen! Don't come crying to me on Christmas Eve when you haven't finished your cards lol, remember I reminded you way back in March!

So how about an Easter card then?

Actually I'm gonna confess, I made a handful of these but I don't really send Easter cards, so my next door neighbour will get one but the rest will be converted into birthday cards etc by covering the sentiment with a little plaque.

I used....

Abstract squares claritystencil. One of my faves.

Tulip claritystencil

Clarity blending brushes

Happy Easter Claritystamp

Inks...butterscotch, stream, cranberry, lettuce.

I did a similar but different version that I'll show you on Monday....and maybe a little ol' tutorial seeing as I am having a couple of days off.

Thanks for stopping by, if you pop back tomorrow I'll have a sneak peek for the Claritystamp telly show on Sunday with Barbara.

Snowy? So is it Christmas yet....

Good afternoon!

Well apparently lots of you have snow where you are, and I've got the winter lurgy, so....Christmas card? Lol

I chose this one because I love the star stencil, we will be using it in class in May-but not for a Christmas card I promise!
I thought id leave Santa black and white because I've gone bright with the stars and banner, would you have coloured or not?
I'm going back to my steam bath and Olbas Oil, catch you soon, thanks for calling in!

Flower Fairy

Good evening!

Yes fairies again...

But they are super cool aren't they, I've been using them for very quick cards that I can batch make fast, this is one...

The floral stamp is a New Design Club Claritystamp from a few months ago, I love this one so much. I just stamped the flowers twice in Sky Blue archival ink, stamped the cheeky fairy then stamped part of a sentiment stamp, job done!

I spotted a couple of challenges to enter...

Craftycatz Fantasy

Timeout challenges CAS & black,white plus 1

Sisterhood of crafters come fly with me

Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

Imagine

Afternoon to you!

I've been having a couple of quiet days after the NEC marathon last week, it's good to be with the team but it's great to be back home too.

Here is one of the cards I made while playing around with stencil brushes one of the days at the show...

Now it doesn't come anymore clean and simple than that does it!

I had to fight the urge to do more to it, but my cautious side won.

I used one of the Clarity Wordchain stamps and the Wee Folk fairies together with one of the large aperture Clarity stencils.

So tell me, would you have left it alone or added more to it?

Medieval town?

Good morning, I'm in my manic state of packing etc for the NEC, and in among that I realised it's been a week since I blogged, soooo, I had a quick look at what posts I had drafted for such a time...

I thought this would be ideal because the Happily ever after stamp set is one of the clarity goodies I shall be playing with at the NEC.

I wanted this one to look like a medieval town, I did quite a bit of masking on this one, but that was the hardest part, the shading etc was easy.

That's all for now. Back to work for me.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happily ever after

Good evening, I was going to blog tomorrow but I have a very full Monday, so I'll do it now while I'm in the queue for the shower-yes MY wetroom is quite popular round these parts....

So, what to show you...I nearly showed you a Christmas card, but I thought you might throw heavy objects at me, so how about a happy card instead.

You need to get quite close to see how I've done this one....

Maybe a bit closer...

Nice glow around the edges of the image? That's metallic paint, I love it on embossed projects.

The little plaque is from the fairytale castle set

The stencil is called Deer Heart, there's a dove version too.

Ok that's all, thanks for stopping by.

I'm going to stand outside the bathroom door now and drop some heavy hints that I'm waaaaaaaiting!

Wishes

Good Morning, yes it's not noon yet...

The sun is shining again, which makes me happy, and using up painty scraps off my table with my pretty new fairiy wee folk stamps also makes me happy.

I have enough bits on my desk from playing with distress paint to do a batch of these quickly, I have a couple of charities that are due some cards but it's tricky when time is short, so I'm happy to use this sketch.

And I'm especially happy when my card fits the following challenges

Clean and Simple sketch

And

Less is More makes you happy

Spring!

Well it certainly feels like Spring today, tiny bit chilly but the Sun is well and truly out, so I think a Spring card is in order...

I'm loving all the new Claritystamps this month, not sure I can choose a fave but the Tulips are lovely.

I did a bit of stamping with paint for this one, combined with painty backgrounds, I dulled the big background with a bit of white, I like that better. The little fairy was supposed to be sat on the toadstool but my eyes deceived me when I was stamping her, soooo, she's actually levitating instead....

There are lots of lovely samples over on the Claritystamp gallery.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sneak peek, and a sneak peek...

Good morning!

I said I'd give you a sneak peek didn't i...

Sunday 9am-11am, Barbara will be doing some splendidly superb demo's with the new lovelies on Create and Craft.

I'm confident you will LOVE this months new Claritystamps, I just wish id been able to spend more time playing with them, but I've given myself tomorrow (yes a Saturday) off work, so if I get my jobs done I will continue to play....

But before then I need to test my new wetroom...

I think we'd all fit in there-but that's not an invite!

And of course I need to choose some new accessories, they must be classy though...

Which loo seat, I can't decide...

Thanks for stopping by

Better late than never...

Evening!

Is it nearly the weekend again already? I need a few more days in the week at the moment, and a clone would be handy.

I've had to split myself between work and being home for the builders for the past 10 days, so I'm a bit behind on things, I was behind on things the week I made this card too, so my lovely friend Mandy Moo didn't get it on time - but she did like it when she got it!

I used a ton of Claritystamps with my Colour Chemistry ink sprays, oh the lushness!

A bit of metal was in order too, and little wooden letters which I decided to leave natural.

Right then, I need to get back to the half finished sample on the table, then I'm off to bed for an early night.

Thanks for stopping by, pop in tomorrow for a sneak peek of a Clarity sample for telly on Sunday, and I'll give you a peek of my finished wetroom!

DL Butterfly

Evening!

It's been a hectic week, and it's only Monday....

So before it totally engulfs me I better blog quickly.

Yep it's my Clarity Briar Rose again, used with a custom inkpad.

I also used one of the older Clarity butterflies, you can never have too many butterflies.

So that was a quick blog wasn't it, Im going to check on the dinner.

Thanks for stopping by, have a good evening.

Gellied Clockwork

Happy Monday!

Well it's happy if you're a teacher, but doesn't half term pass quickly, unless you're a parent lol.

Luckily my kids are old enough now to look after themselves while I'm at work, but I remember how stressful it was when they were little trying to juggle work and little ones when school was closed, glad those days are gone.

Anyway, I spotted a stencilling challenge over on the Craft Stamper blog, I've never entered before but seeing as I use lots of stencils....

So this is my quick simple entry.

I used a ghost print from my Gelly Plate created with Clockwork Claritystencil.

After cleaning the stencil I lined it back up over the card and sponged some butterscotch ink in areas to create a sort of glow.

Then I added one of my many fave sentiment stamps.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good day!

Love is....

Love is....

Sharing your cushion!

Mainly it's all loved up here, the bunnies are loved up, Amber is loved up, Steve is seriously loved up with miss Grace.

Me? Well I'm sure there's a hot reliable rich bloke waiting just around the corner for me, I just keep walking around the wrong corner lol.

So I had a look through to see if I had a romantic project to show you, nada! Oh wait, I found this one-it's got a heart on so that'll do...

I tore a heart from copy paper and brushed ink through aperture, then using same ink I stamped the Aliums, removed aperture and stamped the text.

Have a lovely day!

Peachy Briar Rose

Blogging while waiting for tea to cook is becoming a trend here this week, or is it just that I find myself actually cooking properly more often...

So, as usual I've rifled through my pics to see what I can show you, I love this one.

I used my Briar Rose stamp, and Love and Best Wishes, I use that a lot too.

I did a emboss resist, then brayered terracotta and added a shadow.

Wanna see my tea?

Slimming World Jalfrezi with Quorn, smells good but I might have been a bit heavy on the spices lol.

Thanks for stopping by!

Raining butterflies

Evening!

I thought id blog while waiting for dinner to cook.

I really like how this turned out, it's a class card from a couple of months ago.

I used Worn Lipstick and Tumbled Glass distress pads and a black archival.

See how you get a cool colour when you add the tumbled glass over the worn lipstick.

And the following from Claritystamp

Umbrellas stencil, there's a stencil sale too!

Umbrella Girls stencil

Text from Winds of Change stamp set

Butterfly Tree stamp set

Hope you like it.

Thanks for popping in.

Rockin!

Good afternoon and welcome to my new followers, I'm pleased you found me!

So how was the weekend?

Mine rocked, yes literally! I had the most fantastic pleasure and privilege of watching my 15 year old boy and his bandmates play at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, he has been so nervous as it's gotten closer, he has never had actual music lessons but he plays the guitar superbly and within the last few months he's taught himself to play bass guitar too! But I think he was more nervous about singing in front of a crowd. Anyway, all the lads did great in front of a crowd of about 200, and were well received!

Couple of pics....

This is Steve, singing and playing Bass

This is Chris playing lead guitar, and you can see Ieuan on the drums

And they won another gig!

And just to prove they are a proper rock band, I managed to get a sneaky look at the dressing room carnage.....

Right I need to shift myself!
