More Molly

Morning!

Christmas Eve already, how did that happen?

Anyway I hope your all organised and not running around like headless chickens, I bet you are though so you will be too busy to look at my bloggy.

Just on the off chance though here is a card

ThisIs another one made using the Molly Bloom kit, I coloured with copics.

I don't think this one looks Christmassy though, so could be used for a birthday, what do you think?

Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

100 years in a queue...

Good morning, actually it's 11.15pm last night!

I thought I would do something constructive while in a phone queue,it's only been 1 hour 23 mins so far,yes really..

So before I start ranting about phone networks here's a card

Quite appropriate, I may be 100 before I get to speak to a customer service chappy..

I used a cool swirly balloon, miniature corner, and my beloved letterbox kit, all from Claritystamp.

Ink used was Shaded Lilac

Balloons are decoupaged, not sure if you will see it in picture.

I got to tell you this, the 'on hold' music is a repeating loop and it keeps playing 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' are they trying to be funny!!! Lol

Have a good one!

Black and white snowflake

Good morning!

Hope you are all well, and not having too many problems with the rain...

Actually, is rain the least of our worries? Is today the last day?

I remember sitting in Mr Rogers English class in 1980 and debating the end of the world that was going to happen in 1984, my first thought was 'oh well it's ages away anyway' but when 84 came around I was very uneasy, especially because the nuclear threat from Russia was quite real at the time,it was a scary time so I hope I have managed to put Stevie and Amber's minds at ease a little so they don't feel the fear I did as a teenager.

Maybe we should start a 'nice' rumour and see if that spreads as quickly as the doom and gloom, in the meantime here is a card to take your mind off it...

This is one I made for my good friend and neighbour Julie and her family, she is Aunty Julie to the bunnies and fishies when I'm away.

I cut an aperture using a spellbinder, Venetian I think, backed it with black, added a white circle and punched snowflake. The stamps are from Claritystamp of course.

Hope you like it!

Special day in floral...

Good afternoon, yes not morning!

I was all revved ready for going out and finally braving the Christmas shopping madness, and then spotted the boy bunnies are still playing out in the garden,so while I wait for them to go back into their house I thought I would blog.

You may have noticed the little error with the same card being posted in the last few days, blogger hid the original post so I thought it was gone and did another via the blogsy app, doh!

This is an 8x8 using the lovely big Clarity Corner and floral set, this was for tv but all my cards must have been toward the bottom of the piles coz none of them were shown on the Sunday, sob!

You know how I like my mono cards...

I stamped in Raison and coloured with a Promarker, then edged with cranberry.

The sentiment is also a Claritystamp.

Hope you like it!

Right I'm gonna be a wicked ole mum and lock Sam and Jakey up safe so I can go out and spend some money.

I think I may have brain freeze because I can't remember what the text means...maybe happy birthday?

Good afternoon!

Yep it's definitely after 12 instead of the usual 6am post, winter is playing havoc with me already so I went back to bed.

Now I'm up again I best show you a card.

Ok, boggy thingy has placed picture above text instead of below....

Let's try again with another pic

This is using the classroom kit, snowflake corner and sentiment from Claritystamp.

I wanted to do something different to everybody else with the Deer, but still not sure if I like this or not.

I found a couple of challenges for this

Fab & funky non traditional Christmas

Inky impressions snow/winter

Winter 2012

Good morning, chilly isn't it!

Here is the first of my Clarity makes for this month

I used this months In the Classroom kit which is on Create and Craft today, 11am-1pm if you want to see what magic Barbara Gray creates with this set.

I also used my trusty Letterbox set.

I used Shaded Lilac ink, spritzed then blotted, then added some Tumbled Glass ink to create the background.

Hope you like it!

Using up some bits...

Yep I've been a blogger again...

Apart from not having either time or energy, I have not got to grips with blogging from my iPad yet.

Ok excuses out of the way, here is a quick card made to use up a little sentiment and a scrap of deep red card.

I also used some Kraft designer paper and I embossed some black card to test my ebosser machine.

Right, I'm gonna schedule some blog posts now while im sat down.

Thanks for stopping by!

Clean & simple but customised?

Good morning to you!
Today's card is another from the custom ink pad project I did for Creative Stamping 7
I wanted to include a 'clean & simple' in the set, so this was it.
I used tumbled glass, spun sugar, milled lavender re-inkers for the custom ink pad.
Hope you like it.

Thursday 15 November 2012

Winter birthday

Good morning!
Today's card is one I made for Creative Stamping issue 7

This is a 6 inch card using the free stamp set and a custom ink pad with distress re-inkers.
The paper is from craft creations, corner punch is a Martha Stewart.
I'm guessing you recognise the aperture shape ?
Have a good one!

Clarity Fairy is away with the clouds!

Good morning

This is another of my Clarity Christmas makes, and surprisingly it's an 8x8!

I love this stamp! Looks really good using film/fibre too.
I also used my Sprucescape and tiny snowflake along with the Walter de la Mare sentiment.
The clouds were done with copier paper coming up from the right hand corner just about halfway, I find this a little more effective than covering the whole area.

I added some Sakura stardust to the trousers after colouring, and glazed the moon with Sakura 3d gel pen. A bit of glitter on the wings of course!
Hope you like it.

Left over ink...

Good morning!

Well I'm trying again with this new app for blogging on my iPad, wonder if it will be easier than yesterday...

I said I would show you what I did with the left over ink from yesterday's card, so here it is

I simply mopped up the excess ink from my Splodge mat and trimmed, I stamped with the Floribunda and Yesterday verse both from Clarity, then i accented with white gel pen, eeeeeasy!

Hope you like it.

Would be rude not to enter it into the Pink challenge at Less is More...

Monday 5 November 2012

I hate technology

Is it me or is it actually really tricky blogging on iPad?

So I thought I would look for an app....

Looking through reviews I spotted Jak Heath's name, obviously Jak does the same stuff as me on her blog so I'm assuming I need what she says is good, ok I'm giving Blogsy a go Jak.

Ok so I think I have linked to Jak's blog above?..

Let's see about pictures.

That was supposed to be below not above...try again

Ok that worked but text didnt want to go where i wanted it, this is not easy.....
What about linking a challenge?
Less is More. Pink
I'm cheesed off, will try again later.....maybe

Less is more,in pink.

Good afternoon!
I am still trying re-organise the temple, it was worth the malarkey of the hammering and drilling and even the brick dust which my remaining lung is loving, but it's been good to have a good old sort out. I have made a few cards from bits and bobs off my desk that I have been refusing to sling for so long, I will show you when the glue dries etc, in the meantime I spotted a 'pink' challenge over at Less is More, now you know I don't do a lot of pink usually, but I just fancied a bash.

I used a couple of my fave Clarity stamps (which are now in place and looking great on the newly built racks, show off!)

Inks used were Pink Sherbet, Raspberry, Wild Plum Adirondacks.
Other bits used, Splodge mat, blending tool, white and black pens.

I made another piece a little different with the waste ink from this one, show you tomorrow.

Challenges
Less is more.   Pink

Today's card is using the new log cabin stamp from Clarity, along with some others you may recognise...

I made the frame using the swirl from the classroom number set along with the snowflake corner.
I think you probably already know how much I love the letterbox set so I will mention the cool numbers and ovals instead because I love those too!
Mustn't forget, I finished off with a touch of Glamour Dust crystal glitter...

This card fits some challenges too

Falling leaves

Good morning!
I still have a couple of Clarity makes to share with you from last month
This one is an 8x8 using the Maple leaf set.

I used several colours of pigment for the leaves and then added a few in guilding leaf.
The background was stamped and clear embossed with the Maple garland.

Hope you like it.

Tuesday 30 October 2012

Up on the Clarity roof.

Good morning!
I have to apologise for being a bad blogger again recently, it's been a bit manic with shows etc, Scotland was fantastic as was Donny and Harrogate- especially the karaoke crafting, you can't say the Claritystamp team don't know how to have a giggle!
Speaking of Clarity...
This is using the Rooftop stamp from the Twas the Night series.
The poinsettia die is from Tim Holtz, the big pearly brads are from The Hobby House, the background shape is half a card blank from Craftwork Cards.

Hope you like it!

Wednesday 24 October 2012

Clarity clean & simple

Good morning, hope you are keeping warm and well.

Today's card is another using the Clarity Maple leaf set.
I wanted to do a clean & simple card with this set, so here it is.
I used my GENUINE Splodge Away mat as a stamp pad pallet so I could mix the colours without contaminating my inks.
Hope you like!

And if your wondering about the Splodge Away remark...
Yes as expected, a couple of companies who are seriously lacking their own original ideas (and integrity)have decided to jump on the band wagon by attempting their own inadequate version.  I feel quite sorry for the poor people who have mistaken it for Splodge Away.
