Just for you

Good morning!

Today's card is one of a series I did for Creative Cardmaking issue 51, it's on the shelves now!

The theme was handmade paper from scraps.

For this one I added some Lavender pods to the paper for texture and left the edges raggy.

I coloured with a little red mica spray in the water while I made the paper.

The sentiment is from lili of the valley, swirl is a cheery Lynn die.

Hope you like it!

A bit grungy..

Good morning!

It's Saturday and I'm NOT WORKING!!!yeah...

I thought I would take advantage of the free tickets for the craft show in Manchester, come and say hello if you spot me and Amber.

Right, a card..

This one is using the Travel stamp from Justrite

The background was created by stamping in versamark and brushing with mica.

Next I clear embossed and added vintage photo and aged mahogany inks.

Then stamped again and die cut the sprockets.

Hope you like it.

Have a nice weekend whatever your doing.

Today's card is another from the weekends Clarity shows

A rose or a thorn?

Good afternoon

Hope you are all well

Today's card is another Clarity sample from the weekend

This one started it's life very differently, I fact it was almost in the bin.

I was supposed to be making a hanging heart, so I painted it then stamped in Archival, then when I glazed it the colour of the archival changed dramatically and I didn't like it anymore. So I threw it to one side, it ended up sat on this sheet of paper near some die cut swirls and I decided it didn't look too bad if I could tie the colours in together. What do you think?

I might as well blog then....

Good middle of the night!

Yeah that makes a change from good morning doesn't it..

Actually it's 3.46am

The boy bunnies Sam and Jakey woke me up just after 2 thumping their feet, they did that the night little Saphire died in November, so I never ignore them if it's more than a couple of thumps. I know they are safe from predators now they are in the shed but I still worry.

Anyway, I went out and the big drama was...their water bowl was empty!!! But that's better than finding something was actually wrong, right? Only now Im still shaking a bit, and I'm thinking about Saphire, I miss her like you wouldn't believe, she had such a funny little personality and we adored her...

Anyway, I thought I should do one thing constructive, so here is another of my Clarity samples from the weekend

This was a quickie using the corners and flourishes set, it started life as an ATC but I decided to mount it on a card.

I stamped and clear embossed the floral corner and harlequin then used some spray inks. I stamped and coloured the quirky tree at the top, added a shadow to the embossed bits with black pen, then stamped the air mail text and the kingfisher, it's not a kingfisher, I can't think of its name but it is 4.02am!

Anyway, the air mail and having a bird on here was supposed to be a bit quirky....

Hope you like it, another Clarity tomorrow me thinks.

Have a good one.

Clarity Bunny bag...with choccy!

Happy Monday to you!

Did you catch the Claritystamp shows yesterday?

It was lovely to see Amber's creations shown, especially as she has not been rubber stamping much lately, but she now seems all interested in making ATC'S. Thank you to everyone who sent Amber lovely comments!

I had trouble deciding which of my makes to show you first....

So I settled for this one, i really loved working with these bunnies, just don't tell Milly Posh Paws as she gets jealous...

I stamped the bunnies and glazed them, then added some PanPastels.

I used the letterbox kit with the number kit or the wording.

And you can't send a gift bag without something in it can you, I had to take the Malteser bunnies out of packaging and put in cello bags, so no unauthorised advertising on tv!

The mask used is a Splodge, the paw punch is an EK.

Thanks or stopping by!

Craftwork cards Bohemian..

Good Morning!

Today's card is using the Bohemian Collection goody bag from Craftwork Cards, there is so much in it for your money.

I distressed the paper edges with my scissors.

Matted the die cut tag onto lilac pearl and tied some string around.

I made a rosette from a strip of the paper and punched a couple of butterflies, added white stitching to the birdcage and heart.

Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by!

Time for a giveaway....

Good Morning

I promised a giveaway yesterday, so here it is..

So what do you need to do to be in with a chance??

I thought I would do something different, so how about a guessing game...

Here is the result of another desk clear-up, odd bits and bobs and scraps, some recent some from ages ago.

So, can you guess how many cards I can make out of it in the next 7 days??

I will only add plain card stock, card blanks and sentiments, and inky edges of course.

so leave your guess in a comment below....

Special.....in the Clarity department!

Good Morning

Today's card is using the cool Butterfly stamp from Clarity coloured with Polychromos pencils.

The aperture is cut from a fancy rectangle Spellbinder.

I stamped the Supersprig, also from Clarity in Tattered Rose and doodled a little with a black fine liner, I'm still undecided about the doodling, what do you think?

The sentiment was masked off, it actually says On Your Special Day, yes it's another Clarity!

hope you like it.

Speaking of Clarity, I finished my tv samples last night ready for Sunday, have you set your video to record?

Stop by tomorrow for news of a little giveaway...

A lot less is more..

Good afternoon to you!

I spotted this cool sketch at Less is More

Erm, blogsy is telling something or other about not wanting to use the pic of sketch, so it might not appear..how very rude!

Anyway, here is a quickie using a piece of Kraft card and a couple of scraps from next to my trimmer.

This is actually a sketch I use often since I saw Chrissie at Less is More use it ages ago, but usually I do it toward the top of the card, don't know why..

The punch is an EK by the way.

Maybe a couple more challenges for this if I can make the link thingy work for me...

Less is More Week 104

Created with love. Anything goes

Love to create. Anything with a sentiment

Blokey old gift bag..

Good morning

Well the snow has all gone here, thankfully! Hope it's warming up where you are.

Today's project is a tad different, I managed to snaffle a batch of these cool Kraft bags to decorate...

Here's the first one

I had planned to do a pretty one but then I looked at bits that were lying around on my desk, and this is what happened....

I used some spray inks, bubble wrap and a cog mask from Splodge Away.

I did ask Stevie if it looked Blokey but I just got a teenage grunt, that could be good or bad, I'm never sure...

Thanks for stopping by!

Using up more bits...

Good morning

Today's card is another I made using up odd bits that were lying around when I tidied my desk

The 'needs using up' bits were the embossed bird, which is from a Dimension Stamps set, the punched edge strip, and the decorative motif die cut which was left over because it was the aperture that I wanted at the time.

So to put it together I used a music stamp from Clarity to stamp a background piece and a Lili of the Valley sentiment stamp.

Hope you like it!

Untitled

Good morning!

Another Scheduled post I'm afraid, it just seems easier for me to do a couple when I have the time/energy/brainpower..

Well if all goes to plan, Tom and I are on create and craft today, check schedule for time. The new designs are really varied and I thought I would do something slightly different than what I usually do for a demo...

Sneak peek?

Mopping up..some ink I mean.

Good morning

I'm still catching up with stuff I didn't show you when I was AWOL...

This one is a quick 8x8 card I made for a young friends birthday.

It was simply a case of mopping up some ink splodges, stamping the Leafy Swirl and highlighting with white.

Then I used my letterbox kit to make the name tiles, the letters are not that clear in pic because the glue is still wet under the dewdrops.

Thanks for stopping by, stay safe and warm wherever you are.

Its Sew Clarity

Good Morning!

Today's card is using the little Haberdasher mini set from Claritystamp, together with the large Tailor Dummy and Tape Measure...

I used a ghost brayering technique for the background.I used some Papermania paper to paper piece.

The little coat hanger is from Tim Holtz.

Thanks for stopping by.

Unseen Splodge demo.

Good Morning!

Today's card is one of the demos I had planned for the Splodge Away shows on tv last week, but we ran out of stock for the first show and ran out of time on the second.

Usually the unused demos don't see light of day until about 6 months later when they eventually get slung, but I thought I would make this one for a change.

The sentiment is a Claritystamp, the card stock is Centura Pearl from Crafters Companion.

Hope you like it!

Reflections...

Good morning again, see, I am trying to get things regular again, I'm trying to photograph and then schedule things straight away, the only down side is this, yesterday I scheduled some posts to show magazine stuff, now it has to go live in March because that's when the mag is on the shelves, you still with me? So, if I'm writing blog posts for March how do I know what the weather is like or how busy I am or what I'm up to-it hasn't happened yet! See what I mean?

Anyway, this one is 2 days in advance so I can safely say I'm mad busy with prep for Saturdays class and another magazine deadline!

Enough waffle, here is the project...

This started as a reject from a class, a lady had started well and then it went downhill so I gave her a fresh mirror and threw this in the corner to sand down and use again.

I used some lovely Claritystamps and a Splodge Away mask.

I achieved the texture with some Ferro that Rae Dalal brought with her to play with one day, the lovely chalky paints were hers too.

I'm still not sure it's finished, maybe some lace or beads....

Thanks for stopping by!

Madam thingyo...

Good morning, actually it's not! It's tea time and I'm sat in Lookers waiting for my car zzzzzzzz

So I thought I would take advantage of their wifi and schedule a blog post.

Here is another card you should have seen ages ago...

This one is using one of the new Clarity re usable masks, my fave text and Madam de something or other, yes that's right I forgot her name, sorry Barb....

The masks are totally cool, so detailed and you can get into all the nooks and crannys.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you Butterfly

Is it a bit too late to say Happy New Year?

Well it's been a while hasn't it, but I'm here now, hopefully free of nasty germs!

This is one of the Clarity cards I should have shown you last month

I used the new postage stamp set and combined it with the Butterfly Montage.

I coloured with Distress marker and stamped with Dusty Concorde and...I'm racking my brain, I think it might be weathered Wood.

I also used the faux letterpress technique with an embossing folder from Couture.

Hope you like it.
