Sketchy Shoe from Clarity workshop.

I thought i would show you something from my April Clarity workshop up at Inspirations on Tuesday.

I couldnt possibly run a workshop without a black/white card!

This was a last minute card that i prepped during the class, the girls were all on fire this month-flew through the other cards!

I will show you the other 2 cards tomorrow.
My next Clarity workshop is Saturday 28th May, more details of all the workshops available are here.

Dont forget Barara Gray is on Create & Craft on Sunday with some fantastic Claritystamp sets.

1 quick sketch, 2 Hunkydory cards.

Yes i know, taking my work home with me again! But if you had my job you probably would too.

I have finally made a start on the cards for Amber's school fair, so im using up odd bits and trying to make lots of cards fast! So this quick sketch is really useful.

(sack the photographer)

This one is using the Flutterbye Wishes kit and i bit of mirri card. The die cutters are from Die-namics, Nellie's are now doing a similar design.

Monochrome Clarity Cottages

I love this lovely cottage, i did a nice landscape scene sample for Barbara with it, i was really pleased with it and put it on the window ledge to dry properly and then forget to put it in the parcel with the others, sooo annoying!
This is a really quick card to do, just stamp and heat emboss, but i strongly recommend using your anti-stat bag when doing the white on black, it makes such a difference to the finished result.

A digi tutorial-masking/stamping & paper piecing.

Here are 2 ideas using one mask and one of Lindsay's cool digi Sassy's, this one is Bubble Bath available here.

First print out the image on your chosen paper/card, and print a second copy on thin copier/zerox paper.

Using the copier copy cut an aperture mask as shown.

Colour your image as desired

Place the aperture mask over your coloured image and line it up.

Now stamp your fave stamp through the mask.

Here is the lovely result!

For the next idea, place the mask over some patterned paper, draw around the edges and cut out the paper.

Stick onto your bath for a diferent look. This technique for paper piecing is much easier and less wasteful than printing the whole image on your lovely designer papers.

Hope this is useful!
Thanks for looking.

Why does this remind me of Braveheart!

Its the Thistle, remember when the little girl gives him the Thistle at his dad's funeral, thats the first thing i think of when i see a Thistle!
Anyway, this one is from Claritystamp, as is the lovely sentiment.

I used Cranberry Adirondack inkpad for this, its one of my fave inks.

Mail Art Stamps with a difference.

I wanted to do something different with the Stamp stamps from Claritystamp, I have no idea why this idea popped into my head, but it did!

The floral corner stamp is also from Claritystamp, as is the Forever stamp.

I stamped the triangular stamp stamp to form the pinwheel shape, I then stamped the floral corner through an aperture mask. I but around the inside of the stamps so i could raise and shape them, layered onto mirror card and then added acetate for extra dimension.

Another Clarity card.

This is another of my Clarity Stamp cards for April.

I love this sentiment and the 'stamp' stamps are sooo useful!

I used the Mountain Meadow big/juicy and Expresso Adirondack ink pads, gold pen for rough edging.

I didnt add extra colour inside the stamp with the thistle because i wanted it to stand out against the bright colours.
