Been playing with the Sweet Pea's again!

Two Sweet Pea cards in a week,woohoo that means i have had fun! Batch cards are great and have their uses, but this is what i love doing best when time permits-give me a box of colours and i will play nice for hours!

Im feeling that my Blonde hair is getting better, i have decided that im a coward avoiding it all the time and opting for dark hair-just practice more Maria!!!

Pins were cheap as chips from Abakhan.  Papers are from Papermania Spring burst.

Cutting die is from Marianne,Edge punch is a Martha.

Orchids are from The Little Craft Company.  Other flowers are from Wild Orchid.

Dragonfly charm is from China, i bought a ton of different ones and they arrived just in time for Christmas, im really pleased with what i got for my money. I also get my Organza cheap from overseas.

I thought i would be more organised in my blogging,so i wrote down a list of PM's i used to colour this Sweet Pea stamp. Then i go and let myself down by not remembering what this image is called!

I have used my usual helping of glamour dust.

Paper is from Carole's Crafts at Ozzy mills. Flowers are from Wild Orchid. Swirls are from Marianne craeatables. Edge punch is a Martha. Butterfly is from The Works. Wide Organza ribbon is from my mate the ribbon man in Hong Kong.

Little Claire Birdcage

This is another of the new Little Claire stamps,called Birdcage.

I have distressed using black Adirondack ink and a make-up brush. The edge punch is from MS. There is plenty of clear glitter,you cant see it here! This batch of designs was done on one of those really gloomy days with terrible light,and all my lightbulbs are energy savers-which we all know means dim dim dim! I googled light boxes/tents earlier today and its got to be a priority,im fed up of making nice cards and not being able to show them clearly.

Burning the candle at both ends?

This is another of my Hunkydory projects that i made a couple of weeks ago.  I love the toppers in the kit but i really love the foiled acetate.

The only additions are a bit of gold glitter,couple of tiny brads and some ribbon.

A moment of Clarity

I Have been playing with Amber's brayer and Clarity stamps this week. I have been doing a large batch of these designs,minus the glittery snowflakes. Well i had to do just 1 with some sparkle didnt i!  The ones with just a couple of gems on look really elegant though.

'Peace' is gold embossed. I used denim adirondack to brayer the edges and inside the C. I used Bottle green adirondack for the tree's. Snow was added with sakura gel pen.

Christmas Sparkle

Well its wednesday again,so time to have a peek at everybody's work desk,drool over new goodies,maybe pick up a couple of handy tips,maybe a bit of gossip. Speaking of gossip, i have been reading Julia's 'Tales from behind the till',if you have'nt seen them you gotta go have a look,so funny-i think she is one of those people who just attracts weirdo's and loony's! 

Anyway,my desk today, I have a couple of nearly finished cards, some Sweet Pea stamps that i won!, some gold glamour dust-i adore the crystal but thought i would try the gold because it was a quid! Also i have my new heat tool that my lovely daddy bought me from Ostletwistle Mills (did i spell that right?)  I put a tumble dryer sheet next to my doily die cutter deliberately to remind me to share a tip with you (assuming you dont already know) If you rub your die with the sheet before you use it,your die cut doesnt get stuck inside the die-result!,how many times have you had to prize one out of a Marianne die with a sharp instrument!

For the bath i coloured then stamped the swirls through a aperture mask,i then glazed using versamark/clear powder-it looks a bit mottled in the pic below but its actually smooth as glass,really nice. I glazed the puddle too.

This is the Little Claire project club stamp set for November,isnt it lovely!

I have stamped onto cream for the more vintage look and distressed edges slightly with ink,coloured with Promarkers and plenty of glamour dust.

Happy Birthday to my little witch!!

Its my Amber's 9th birthday today,this is her card combo.  I made the card ages ago and put it away and decided this week to make a co-ordinating easel chest.

Mmm,Maltesers! 

The real surprise was the MP4 player (or P-Pod as My 90 year old Uncle Frank calls them) that i put in the bottom drawer.

The drawers are lined in pale pink.

I need to double check,but i think Roy from Dimension4th designed this image for the Glitter girls.

I have coloured with promarkers and glitter.

Unfortunately the lack of light,and the absense of a decent photographer mean you cant see all the lovely sparkly bits!

If i make these chests any taller i may need planning permission!

There are 2 drawers on the other side, making a total of 7, i just get a bit carried away once i start.

This is the hidden message if you untie the ribbon bow, I wanted to write this by hand,please forgive my naff handwriting!!

Im so frustrated about the pic quality!grrrr

I made the little handles from bow trim and pink brads,they are pretty sturdy.

Small stuff says she is very very very pleased with them, result!

Hunky Deco blokey side easel

This is a A5 side easel card, the image,backing card and sentiments are all from Hunkydory.

I added a bit of sparkle to the stars and some of the windows.

This is the lay flat view.  I have not used much on this card apart from Hunkydory goodies because this is one of the items i sent to Anne-Marie at Hunkydory,she is looking for new DT members,nothing ventured nothing gained so fingers crossed!
