Clarity Christmas has begun.

Good Morning, did you wonder where I had disappeared to?  Its just been a hectic couple of weeks and unfortunately its not always easy to blog when Im away from home, when I have driven for hours then worked all day the last thing I want to do is faff about with the laptop- If I had an ipad it would be easier wouldnt it!
Anyway, Im here now, so here is one of my samples for the Claritystamp shows at the weekend and a couple of other pics.

This is using one of the Twas the Night stamps.
I coloured with copics and used my Splodge Away mat for the edges of the topper.
I wanted a button or something for the middle of the bow but I couldnt find anything that matched, so I decided to try something...

The 'button' is made from Pinflair glue gel, I just spread it into a silicon mould and left it to dry, I may do this more often!

Here is a couple of pics from the weekend 'up north'
Our Amber feeding the Lambs at the farm with Annette's mum Anne.

And my good buddy Annette feeding the billy goats!

Hope your weekend was as good as mine, see you soon.

Did I tell you about the weekend...

Evenin all!
That threw you didnt it- its usually good morning...
I just realised that I have been trying to blog about so much this week that I didnt manage to tell you how the weekend went.
Well it was great!
The class with myself and Annette was a great success and we have had some lovely feedback about the day.
I was so nervous about Linda coming because I thought "what can I possibly teach Craft Stamper of the year" seriously, she is a lady of unlimited talent and I have admired her work for a long time.
Annette doesnt get rattled by anything in a class, she just takes it all in her stride-I love working with her!
Sooo, you can imagine my joy when Linda enjoyed the day.
Im looking forward to next time she can squeeze one of my classes in.
From left to right
Sharon the Birthday Girl, Moi, Amber, Linda, Annette
Still smiling at the end of a busy crafty day!
Amber was funny with the wipeclean board, I bought it to write measurements etc on so everyone can see it, when we needed to pick up the pace a little to fit another card in by lunch, Amber changed the board to
KEEP CALM AND CRAFT FASTER!

Ok thats all for now, see you manyana for a sneek peek for Thursday..

Some old catalogue cards

Good Morning to you, hope you are well?

I was looking through the masses of card pics on my computer and found a few that I have never blogged (to the best of my dodgy old memory) so I thought I would schedule a few random posts to show a couple.

These ones were made originally for a mail order catalogue for cardcraft.
The idea for Catalogue cards is to make loads of simple cards quickly, so I never really got time to play properly with any of these stamps.

Thanks for looking!

Lovely day out for me & my Amber!

Good Morning gang!
Yes its Monday again, I was thinking of giving myself the day off today but then looked at exactly how much work I have for the next few days, so day off is not on the cards for this week, Lucky I adore my job isnt it!

Anyway, I cant move on to this week without telling you all about the weekend I just had.  Will tell you about yesterday first & do a separate post about Friday/Saturday because I have loads to tell you about! So,yesterday Amber & I drove down to the NEC from the North East, Its always nice to have time to do the NEC as a customer because Amber can come and do little workshops and stuff, yesterday she had a go at Origami, Folk Art painting and Pyrography,
here is what she made
How clever is she!!!

Now, I wasnt gonna show you the one thing I made, but I changed my mind-NO LAUGHING!
Its not amazing is it!
So do I keep this as my first and only attempt at this type of painting, or do I put my stubborn head on and try to master it??

Moving on swiftly, we also met up with my lovely blog buddy Jane L and her grandaughters Ocean & Willow (cool names or what) Its always nice to see you all at shows and even better to be able to grab a coffee & chat, so thank you Jane & the girls.

We caught up with the gang at the Claritystamp stand too of course, where I got my hands on the new Theuva Card, it feels lush-cant wait to have a play.
Speaking of play, I bought a few bits from the MDF man to have a play with, I have some workshop ideas for those!
Zentangle book also came home with us, I showed Stevie when he came home from nan's last night and he was immediately inspired to have a go while we all ate the Maltesers & Toblerone he bought me.

So all in all it was a great girls day out!

Back later to tell you about Friday/Saturday.

Cool new storage & an act of kindness!

Oh yes its here again, Slipper Day!!!
I have got mine on, hope your with me gang...

I wanted to show off my new pen storage and tell you about a nice lady.
This is my pen box- it is the only one you will need because it will hold more than 600 pens!

As you can see mine holds all my Promarkers and some flexmarkers, all the Copic ciao pens and a few sketch, also in there are 140 Prisma pencils and my Sakura pens, and there is still plenty of space for me to add more Copic Sketch and Flexmarkers to my collection.

Now, when this arrived I couldnt wait to get it positioned and filled, but in my rush to get up the stairs it had a fall!!!!
Milly Posh Paws was on her litter tray in the hall at the time too, luckily she is a fast bunny!
Yes there were tears, I sat in the corner with my arms crossed and sucked my thumb and everything, then I did a more grown up thing- oh yes I did!
I asked my friend Dan to try and fix it for me, and as you can see from the pic it looks as good as new,the damage has been very cleverly disguised.
When I told Vicky about what had happened she was so kind, as a crafter herself she knows how it would feel if you get something totally cool and then you break it, so she very very very kindly sent me this rack for Stickles Glitter Glue as a pressie!
THANK YOU BIG MUCH VICKY!
As you can see I am using mine for my Cosmic Shimmer Pearly glues instead, they are great stored upside down because it reduces the possibility of air bubbles when you use them.

Are you a tinsy bit jealous, are you? Then go and get your own, and check out the other storage stuff too...

Have a good one!

Bottle it!

Helloooo!
I said I wanted to show you something I was altering didnt I.
As you will probably know, I dont do much altered stuff, mixed medium etc, but I thought I should have a play.
So, as a personal sacrifice I emptied a half bottle of Scotch (mixed with pepsi) so I could use the bottle.
This is the first bit.
I cleaned off the label and pulled off the metal cuff. When it was properly dry inside I squeezed a little Cream Acrylic paint with a drop of water and swished it all around. Then I added a couple of drops of pale blue and dark blue to the inside of the neck so it would just run down slowly, give it a little shake to mix slighly with the Cream colour. Turn it upside down and leave it overnight so the excess paint runs out and the bottle dries.
Do you want to know whats next? me too, show you soon!

Playing with the new toy & a camera shy bunny wabbit!

I thought I would share the first practise pics with the new camera, I still need to play and get it just right but there is a definite improvement already!

This is an 8x8 card using the Morrocan Spellbinders- have I mentioned that I love these??
I inked Faded Jeans Distress ink through the Fretwork mask, dark in the corner and lighter toward the centre.
Do you recognise the Foliage, of course you do- I banged on about it enough on telly, I love love love the Foliage, oops said it again!
The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Sentiments set, it actually says "you make life a beautiful thing" so I masked the rest of it so only inked the beautiful thing.
Teal & Black Vintage ribbon, Spiral blossom and some black Pearly dots to finish. oh and i put some Cosmic Shimmer Iced Crystal in the centre of the blossom for a little twinkle.

All goodies available through Creative Expressions.

I was trying to get a nice pic of Milly posh paws to practice (the kids are out) but she is a bit camera shy unless she has just had her mane brushed.
Incase you dont recognise the breed, she is a Dwarf  Lion Head bunny- but dont tell her that, she thinks she is a cat!

See you tomorrow for a Clarity card.

There are some Clarity stamps waiting to go for a wash, 2 brayers coz im greedy, couple of coloured Magnolia's, some lovely Heartfelt Creation goodies.
And just to show its not all messy...
